Doug's insight is uncanny, given he is not only "new" to Ipswich, but he has decided to live in "the West Side of Nowhere" (or otherwise known as East Boxford / West Ipswich). I highly recommend a read.
Insightful and humorous, Doug's love for Ipswich makes even a hard core Floridian want to move! Great for gift giving and as a tabletop book.
Reading this book is like taking a walk into New England. Fun and light- hearted. Doug Brendel had me laughing all the way through this book. It is a journey I highly recommend!
This extremely funny yet occasionally thought-provoking book will appeal even to those who have never lived in Ipswich or perhaps never heard of it. I was won over by the copy in my chiropractor's office. On the coffee-table, it begs to be read aloud. As perfect bathroom reading, it makes you want to eat prunes. Read it, laugh a lot, and see the world differently!
